Chit chat chai has a very cozy ambiance. They have a variety seating area, outside, indoor ground and first floor outdoor and indoor. Upstairs part has games and a foosball table. As the name signifies their specialty is in teas, so they have a huge variety of teas.

While studying in college, the first time I visited here was on the day of Diwali so most of our friends had gone home while some of us stayed back in hostel. Me and my friend didn’t want the day to go only to homesickness, so we decided to make the day little festive by going out for evening snacks. This place had been on my list for quite sometime so, we decided to go here.

At that time only ground floor sitting area was open. I really fell in love with the lighting and the cozy ambiance of the place. They even have a guitar and it felt more like Diwali when, one of the customers gave a really soothing performance 🤩. Another time around a year later, my brother and sister were visiting me. I actually took them to Concu for desserts, when we realized chit chat chai is just walking distance from there. So, I thought we’ll make a couple of foosball rounds. Their menu consists of basically snacks along with shakes, coffees and teas. Here are something I tried:

Choco Oreo Frappe

Choco Oreo Frappe

We requested not to add any sugar, as oreo already is really sweet, and they did serve us that way. Overall a classic oreo frappe.

Cinnamon Tea

Cinnamon Tea

Well honestly, I am not a big tea fan. I am 110% coffee person, but as we were at chit chat chai, I decided to give it a shot, I absolutely love cinnamon. So, it wasn’t very hard for me to decide which one to order from the huge variety, tea was really good. It had a subtle cinnamon taste and it always makes things better when you do not have to use that sugar sachet.

Vegetable Maggi

Vegetable Maggi

A bit soupy Maggi noodles with carrots and peas. Good enough for quick snack while hanging around chatting with friends.

Chicken Gyro Pita Pockets

Chicken Gyro Pita Pockets

Well this one dish was not up to the mark for me. The filling was extremely dry. I mean it required a lot of sauce to taste better. There were dips on the side, but you can’t use them where you actually want them while eating, as then the items would just fall out. Plus I felt like chicken quantity could have been more. This dish could do a lot of improvement.

Pomegranate green tea

This was so good and refreshing with pomegranate’s sweetness and green tea’s sourness were complimenting each other nicely.

Overall its a good cafe to hangout and chit chat with friends. Prices seem quite reasonable too, would surely suggest visiting the restaurant at least once. I would love to know how was your experience in the comments.
