Since past one year I have had an habit of eating fruit bowl for breakfast. It just makes me feel like starting the day with a positive note. Though, it had gotten really monotonous lately, which we can’t deny is a risky zone leading to more carbs, less fibers, and guilt leading to negativity. I had never tried having smoothies before. So, one day I had a cut papaya, an apple and a kiwi for breakfast. I spontaneously decided to try blending, added some almonds and walnuts for that crunch which I generally have with my fruits. So I went ahead with it and wondered why I had never tried making homemade smoothies before.
I am not a big papaya fan, I used to love apple and kiwi part of my fruit salad but forced myself to finish that papaya reminding myself of its benefits. Surprisingly its smoothie was really good, without any additional sweeteners I licked it all right up. I have been trying new kind of smoothies almost everyday. There’s a huge variety on the toppings too like nuts, granola, chia seeds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and small chunks of the fruits. I specially love adding almonds and walnuts, I make sure to add them in the last and blend it a little, they give such beautiful crunch to my smoothie.
I have been enjoying different kinds of smoothies every morning since then 🤩 , plus the fruit and vegetable smoothies are very rich in antioxidants. Another plus point is, for enjoying those cheat day weekends there’s dessert smoothie variety too. Here’s the list I tried out so far:
Spinach + Kiwi + Apple + Milk
Spinach has so many health benefits, its very beneficial for eyes, helps reducing blood pressure and keeps hair and skin healthy.
Banana + Orange + Apple + Kiwi + Yogurt
Organes are high in Vitamin C, rich of fibers and banana makes it a perfect filling breakfast to start your beautiful day.
Papaya + pomegranate + milk
Fights against Breast Cancer, boosts immunity, good for diabetics, protects against arthritis.
Zucchini-Banana dessert Smoothie
A healthy dessert smoothie using zucchini, Banana, unsweetened cocoa powder and milk. No added sweetener required, banana takes care of balancing sweetness with sourness of cocoa powder while making smoothie rich and creamy.
The benefits make homemade smoothies intake even more worth it. I am loving this new addition to my life 🥰. Would surely encourage giving these a try.
