If Hyderabad would be known by another name, it would be Paradise or Karachi Bakery. Paradise biryani is not just famous all over India, but among foreigners too. I was really excited to visit Paradise when I first came to Hyderabad.
I went to Gachibowli branch of Paradise, along with a friend to try their Chicken Biryani. The restaurant was packed at 07:00 pm, but by the end of the dinner sadly I was honestly disappointed. The biryani had no flavor whatsoever, it was like eating steamed rice, even though by the look of it, it seemed flavorful, but it lacked salt and spices. Chicken leg piece was cooked properly but that too lacked salt and spices. I discussed about this with some localite foodie friends of mine, they suggested me to visit Paradise branches in old city side, so as to have an authentic Hyderabadi Biryani.
I had my cousin visiting me to Hyderabad, I took her to Coffee Cup in Sainikpuri. She really wanted to go to Paradise, so while returning from Sainikpuri, we decided to stop for lunch at Paradise branch in Secunderabad. We ordered Paneer Tikka Sticks for our vegetarian friend ?, and ordered Chicken Biryani for us. Wow, the biryani was amazing, spicy and flavorful.
The manager is really sweet, he came up to us personally and asked for feedback. He suggested to have double ka meetha for dessert. They took a lot of time bringing the dessert, we waited for around 25 minutes for it, and it was served cold, it tasted okay.
